Eco Innovation Group Advances Sustainable Aviation Fuel Initiative

Company partners with Kepler GTL to produce jet fuel from natural gas, targeting major airline customers

Mar. 13, 2026 at 2:10pm

Eco Innovation Group, Inc. (ECOX) announced a strategic partnership with Kepler GTL Technologies Inc. to develop modular gas-to-liquids facilities that can convert natural gas into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Kepler GTL has initiated discussions with several global airlines, including American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Emirates, and British Airways, about future SAF supply opportunities. The companies believe these discussions reflect the rapidly expanding demand for SAF as airlines work to reduce carbon emissions.

Why it matters

The aviation industry has committed to significant reductions in lifecycle carbon emissions, and SAF is seen as a key pathway to achieve those targets. Kepler GTL's technology can convert stranded or flared natural gas into drop-in aviation fuel, reducing emissions associated with natural gas flaring while providing a scalable source of cleaner jet fuel for airlines.

The details

Kepler GTL's proprietary gas-to-liquids platform is designed to convert approximately 130 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day into roughly 10,000 barrels per day of synthetic jet fuel and diesel, representing around 136 million gallons of fuel annually. Engineering models indicate the process could reduce flaring-related emissions by 97% and remove an estimated 3 million tons of CO2 from the environment annually.
