On Friday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, 22-year-old Jack Doherty was walking around the tournament's periphery and offering spectators $100 to disrupt a player's swing during their shot. When a spectator agreed to do it, security at the hole where Doherty was standing converged on him and forced him off the premises. A PGA Tour official then informed Doherty that he would not be allowed back at the Phoenix Open or any other PGA Tour event "for the foreseeable future", and that he would be arrested for trespassing if he tried to attend.
