Funeral services will be held on March 30 at Meadows Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Braswell Cemetery.

Mitchem is survived by his wife, Teresa Mitchem; sons, Michael Mitchem, Matthew Mitchem, and Tony Mitchem (Beth); sister, Kathy Adams; grandchildren, Mekay Joyner (Patrick), Joseph Mitchem, Cameron Mitchem, and Judd Mitchem; and a great-grandchild, J.B. Joyner.
