Alabama head coach Nate Oats said he has been re-watching the Crimson Tide's earlier loss to Texas, and he believes getting better performances from Taylor Bol Bowen and London Jemison could help spark the team's offense and defense. Bol Bowen had a double-double in the first matchup with Texas, while Jemison also had one of his best games of the season. Oats wants more consistent production from the four spot to complement standout center Aidan Sherrell.
Why it matters
Alabama's frontcourt depth has been thin this season, with Sherrell carrying a heavy load at center. Getting more from Bol Bowen and Jemison could provide a needed boost as the Crimson Tide prepare for the SEC Tournament and potentially the NCAA Tournament.
The details
Bol Bowen had 11 points and 10 rebounds with two blocks in Alabama's 92-88 loss to Texas back in January, one of his best performances of the season. However, in the 12 games since then, he has only reached double figures in scoring once. Jemison also had a strong game against Texas, going 3-for-3 from 3-point range and finishing with nine points, five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Oats believes if Bol Bowen and Jemison can get back to that level of play, it will make Alabama a much better team on both ends of the floor.

What they’re saying

“If we get London and Taylor both playing at their peak performances, this team's going to be a much better team.”
