A group of mid-to-upper-level management city employees in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, known as Emerging Leaders, recently attended a training event hosted by the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue department. The Emerging Leaders observed firefighters conducting live fire demonstrations and vehicle rescue operations, gaining insight into the teamwork and coordination required in public safety roles.
Why it matters
The training event was designed to help the Emerging Leaders, who have the potential to become department heads, better understand the operations and challenges faced by first responders. By witnessing firefighters in action, the city employees can apply those lessons to improve their own leadership and management skills.
