The restaurant previously operated in Chelsea Corners off U.S. 280 but closed in November 2024 for renovations and did not reopen. Sanpeggio's Pizza will be opening a location at the Southgate Village near Publix at U.S. 31 and Alabama 261, taking over the former Yoe Express space. Sanpeggio's, founded more than 20 years ago, has a goal of opening 30 locations by 2028 across Alabama and beyond. At Pelham Plaza Shopping Center, Wings R King will occupy the storefront recently vacated by Wok On In.
