Air Products, a leading industrial gas supplier, has been awarded over $140 million in contracts from NASA to provide liquid hydrogen to several of the agency's facilities, including the world's largest hydrogen sphere at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, as well as sites in Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas. The new contracts build on Air Products' long-standing relationship with NASA dating back to 1957, supporting the U.S. space program through liquid hydrogen and other industrial gas supplies.

Under the new contracts, Air Products will supply around 36.5 million pounds of liquid hydrogen to NASA facilities, including the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama, the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, and the Johnson Space Center in Texas. In 2025, Air Products completed the first fill of the world's largest hydrogen sphere at the Kennedy Space Center, delivering over 730,000 gallons of liquid hydrogen across 50 trailer loads.
