The Austin Peay State University (APSU) beach volleyball team went 2-0 on the opening day of the Shoals Beach Bash, defeating Tusculum and Spring Hill College by a score of 4-1 in each match. The Govs won multiple straight-set matches across the No. 1, 2, 4, and 5 courts to secure the victories.

Against Tusculum, the pairs of Isabella Russell/Grace Austin, Bailey Hope/Ashley Boswell, and Jordyn Beneteau/Addi Hultquist each won in straight sets. Sage Raby and Emily Freel also picked up a three-set victory. Later in the day, Russell/Austin, Hultquist/Beneteau, and Raby/Freel again won in straight sets versus Spring Hill, while Hope/Boswell clinched the match with a three-set triumph.
