Junior guard Jordan Ross has announced his intent to enter the transfer portal, making him the fifth Georgia men's basketball player to depart the program this offseason. Despite starting in all but seven of his 32 appearances, Ross's numbers flatlined as he averaged 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Why it matters

Ross's departure adds to the holes the Bulldogs will need to fill through recruitment and the transfer portal, as the team loses a key piece from their record-breaking 2025-26 season. Georgia's roster is now down to just five remaining guards, making finding replacements a priority.

The details

Despite finishing outside the top five for minutes played per game, Ross often helped set the tone early in games for Georgia. He started 35 games for Saint Mary's last season and looked to see his stats continue to climb, but his numbers never materialized as he struggled to find consistency. Ross's season-high was 15 points with two made 3-pointers in a win over Western Carolina, and he also hit a pair of 3-pointers and dropped 12 points in Georgia's first SEC win over Auburn.
