Alabama men's basketball player Labaron Philon Jr. has been named the Co-SEC Freshman of the Week, his fourth such honor this season. Philon averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals in the Crimson Tide's wins over Texas A&M and Auburn.

Philon was a game-time decision for the Auburn game due to a thigh bruise, but Alabama head coach Nate Oats said he would "give it a go" and Philon delivered a strong performance.
