Filmed in the Charlotte region, ROOFMAN stars Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, and PeterDinklage and has been generating buzz all summer. The opening night premiere marks a milestone moment for CFF, highlighting both the strength of Charlottes creative community and the citys role as a backdrop for world-class filmmaking. The ROOFMAN screening will be immediately followed by an in-person discussion with Writer/Director Derek Cianfrance (SOUND OF METAL, BLUE VALENTINE) and Producer Jaime Patricof.

The 2025 Charlotte Film Festival (CFF), hosted annually by The Independent Picture House (IPH), will open its 17th edition with the highly anticipated Charlotte premiere of ROOFMAN on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the newly restored Carolina Theatre in Uptown Charlotte.
