Presidents Day—also Washington’s birthday—is a federal holiday, so yes banks, stock markets, and post offices will be closed.
Also expect schools and most offices to be shut down, but restaurants and stores to be open, in order to capitalize on all the folks with shopping time on their hands; in fact, many major retailers—including Walmart, Target, and Macy’s—have major sales on clothing, jewelry, and more.
