Jimmy Greene Quintet: Saturday, June 14th at Regattabar.Grammy-nominated saxophonist renowned celebrating the pre-release of his new album As We Are Now. Fresh off three sold‑out nights at Regattabar with Ron Carters ensembleFeaturing: Mike Moreno, grammy nominated guitarist known for his contributions to albums by Q-Tip, Bilal, Joshua Redman and others, and for playing with Ravi Coltrane, Wynton Marsalis, Robert Glasper, Lizz Wright and others. Aaron Goldberg, pianist, Harvard Magna cum laude grad with a masters from Tufts, known for playing with Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis, Betty Carter, Freddie Hubbard, et al. Hes played solo shows at Regattabar at least 8 times (pre-covid) since 2006 and has done quite well in the past. Jonathan Barber voted #1 Up‑and‑Coming Drummer of 2018 by Modern Drummer magazine, has recorded and performed with Pat Metheny, Nicholas Payton, Buster Williams, and the Brooklyn Philharmonic featuring Erykah BaduDezron Douglas has recorded 6 albums as a bandleader and collaborated with jazz luminaries like Pharoah Sanders, Ravi Coltrane, and Cyrus Chestnut—Seats are assigned by date of purchase.
