The Gala begins with hors d’oeuvres beginning at 6pm and the main event, the Awards Gala beginning at 7:30pm in the theatre. The Virginia Black Film Festival is the ultimate celebration of Black culture through film, offering the general public an opportunity to discover the work of emerging filmmakers of color, with theater screenings, expert panels, workshops, and multiple networking events.
