National Ugly Truck Contest Day

We are celebrating National Ugly Truck Contest Day on July 20. It is an annual celebration to discover the weirdest and ugliest trucks in the nation. This quirky day is popular among truckers and collectors who have old and modified trucks that look like art pieces or like complete junk with wheels and a working engine. Every part of a truck is important to someone who loves trucks, and they would have already made wonderful memories with the truck. For most truckers, their truck, no matter how old or unkempt it appears, is their life, and they treasure it above all else.

Space Exploration Day

We celebrate Space Exploration Day every year on July 20. Also known as National Moon Day, President Ronald Reagan created this holiday to commemorate the first crewed mission to the moon and moon landing, which took place on July 20, 1969. Eight years after President John F. Kennedy set a goal for America to land on the moon before the end of the decade, the Apollo 11 mission succeeded. The day also seeks to inspire and encourage young people to pursue careers in space sciences and space exploration. So, let’s look to the heavens and remember the incredible space advances humanity has made thus far, and dream of where we will still go.

National Words with Friends Day

National Word With Friends Day, celebrated on July 19, is a day that commemorates the game “Words With Friends.” Players have to use their knowledge and creativity to form words to win points. Similar to the classic board game ‘Scrabble’ the objective is to build words in a crossword-puzzle form.

The President of Publishing at Zynga mentioned that Words With Friends is more than just a game and surpasses our culture and language. Last year, he said about the game and the holiday it inspired, “Over the past 12 years, it’s grown from a popular app to a global sensation, and we’re excited to celebrate this first annual national day and festival with our fans in the game we all love.”
