Guanacaste Day is celebrated on July 25 every year in Costa Rica. The holiday commemorates the day that Guanacaste became a province of Costa Rica, on July 25, 1824. Before this, Guanacaste was part of the nation of Nicaragua. At the time, Nicaragua was plagued by civil war, and Guanacaste asked the Central American Federation to be annexed to Costa Rica. Guanacaste lies in the northwest of Costa Rica and has made significant contributions to the nation in the areas of food, agriculture, and entertainment. Although Guanacaste Day celebrates a serious historical occurrence, the day is celebrated with a lot of pomp and pageantry, as concerts, fireworks, and folk dances take up the streets.
National Day of Motoring

The National Day of Motoring celebrated every July 24, is an initiative led by MINI U.S.A. to encourage the public to take their cars on the road and explore the world. Starting in 2021, one of the goals is to celebrate the road trip as a tradition that has defined American culture. While the event is directed mainly at Mini owners, it can also be celebrated by any car owner who has a penchant for the open road and a sense of adventure.
Spoonerism Day

Spoonerism Day honors ‘Spoonerisms,’ which are tongue slips that most of us make regularly. The term ‘spoonerism’ refers to the practice of switching the initial letters of words as you speak. Say swy flutter instead of a fly swatter, or runny babbit instead of a bunny rabbit. They earned their name from Reverend W. A. Spooner — was well-known for making this error frequently. Celebrate this event by refusing to be ashamed when you make a mistake in your speech. You — like Spooner — should always embrace your eccentricities. In current parlance, spoonerism refers to any such altering of sounds.
