Sarah Jakes Roberts

Background

Sarah Jakes Roberts was born on July 17, 1988, in the United States of America to an African-American household. Her father is Bishop T.D Jakes (Bishop Thomas Jakes Sr). She grew up in West Virginia, where she spent most of her youth and completed her primary education. Unlike many children, she was extraordinarily bright and academically gifted. She graduated from high school at the age of 16 and enrolled in college nearly immediately. After graduating from high school with honors, she continued her studies at a higher institution, Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where she earned a degree in journalism.

After finishing her undergraduate degree in Texas, she began her illustrious career by publishing her first book, and then went on to produce more works on Christianity and self-development. As a successful author, Roberts was invited to speak at many events and even in media outlets. Fortunately for her, when she decided to marry, she married Touré Roberts, a pastor. The wedding took place in November 2014. The couple welcomed their first kid two years after they married. Her husband and she are the lead pastors of The Potter’s House in Los Angeles and Denver. They currently serve as pastors and Christian workers for both churches.

Aside from their pastoral work in the church, they are also dedicated to improving people’s lives throughout the United States. They help people who are battling with emotions, negative beliefs, and addiction, as well as those who are struggling with their Christian faith. This isn’t merely a goal she set for herself when she was much older. She had been kind and caring to others. She has written several books over the years including “Lost and Found: Finding Hope in the Detours of Life” (2014), “Colliding With Destiny: Finding Hope in the Legacy of Ruth” (2014), “Don’t Settle for Safe: Embracing the Uncomfortable to Become Unstoppable” (2017), and “Woman Evolve: Break Up with Your Fears and Revolutionize Your Life” (2021).
