Background

Barron William Trump, the youngest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, was born on March 20, 2006. Though the fifth child of his father, he is the only one the former president shares with his wife Melania Trump. While on his father’s side he has German and American ancestry, Trump inherits Slovene heritage from his mother. He was baptized in 2006 in California’s Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea. He has four older step-siblings, including Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr.

No stranger to the limelight, Trump has made several television appearances as a child, with the earliest one being on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” as a two-month-old. Since then, he has appeared in “The Apprentice,” the reality television series featuring his father, former President Trump, as host. Since coming into the spotlight with his father’s assuming office as president, Trump has consistently maintained fewer public appearances, mostly being photographed alongside his parents. He was also seen at his father’s acceptance speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention and the inauguration ceremony in Washington in early 2017. In the initial days of his father becoming president, Trump continued to stay in New York, moving to Washington and the White House only a few months later, after completing the school year. In New York, he made history by not enrolling at Sidwell Friends, the school attended by children of other U.S. presidents for the past 35 years, and chose instead St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland.

Trump is reportedly a computer whiz. He is also a keen sportsperson, with an active interest in soccer. He has previously played on the under-12 teams at D.C. United and the Arlington Soccer Association’s under-14 soccer teams. His love for soccer is also what led to his enrollment at the Oxbridge Academy in Florida, which is known for its soccer program for students. He will graduate from the 2024 batch of the Academy and everyone is waiting with bated breath to see what he will do next — join his father’s business empire or do something of his own.
