Singles Awareness Day – February 15

It's so okay to be single. Like, really. Recent Census figures show that over half of all Americans, ages 16 and older, are single. Hallmark may not agree but Singles Awareness Day on Feb. 15 is a fantastic day to celebrate your independence, moxie and unique style!

National Love Your Pet Day – February 20

There are many things that differentiate humans from the rest of the animal kingdom, but one of the more unusual traits is our longstanding tendency to keep other animals as pets. While there have been a handful of examples of other animals keeping pets (Koko the gorilla and her cats are a commonly-cited instance), we're the only species where it's a common occurrence. In fact, Gallup states that six in ten Americans are current pet owners. It only makes sense to commemorate something that's so important to so many people, so on Feb. 20, we celebrate our pets with Love Your Pet Day!

Walking the Dog Day – February 22

February 22 is Walking the Dog Day! This day combines two of the most happy-making things we have in this life: dogs and exercise. Humans love walking with their four-legged friends, and pooches love their strolls with their people. So grab your walking shoes, a leash, and some treats for the road, and take your favorite pooch for a stroll to celebrate Walking the Dog Day!

International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day – February 23

No one quiet knows the origin of this wagtastic holiday, but we all know that dogs love these treats.  Created in the mid-19th century by American James Spratt, the cake-like biscuit comprised of meat, grains and vegetables have evolved over time, but are still dogs favorite reward. So lets raise a baked treat to International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day (Feb. 23) and our companions who love them.

National Chili Day – February 23

On February 23, we celebrate National Chili Day — a moment to celebrate the legendary dish that is both divisive and inclusive. Some would debate that this is the ultimate cook-off dish. Family recipes are guarded like crown jewels. Secret ingredients are never spoken of above a whisper. Some parents don't even tell their kids how its made. But these are all part of what makes chili such an experience. When chili is being served — perhaps with some chopped onions and shredded cheese on top — everyone comes to the table.

National Tortilla Chip Day – February 24

Ever since then, people around the world have enjoyed these crispy triangles of deliciousness — especially on February 24, National Tortilla Chip Day.
