World Health Day is held on Apr. 7 every year to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO), and is an opportunity to focus worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health. each year. In 2017, the global theme is 'Depression: Let's Talk,' raising awareness about how mental health issues affect us all.

National Beer Day – April 7

On April 7, 1933, President Roosevelt took the major first step toward ending Prohibition and signed a law allowing people to brew and distribute beer in the United States. So why not celebrate this historic moment on National Beer Day on April 7? Upon signing the legislation, FDR famously stated, "I think this would be a good time for a beer.” For the first time in thirteen years, beer drinkers celebrated and were happy to be able to purchase beer again. On that same day, 1.5 million barrels of beer were consumed, inspiring the holiday celebrated today. For all you beer lovers out there – remember, always drink responsibly and never drink and drive.
